Nice! This gameplay has in-game music unlike most other gameplays on RUclips.

If you look closely, the PlayStation version of the game ran on a totally different game engine than on PC (as far as I know?). A lot of the tracks among versions are actually different, even the music is different with some shared on both. Porsche was almost two different games on the PC and PlayStation, while NFS3 and 4 where much closely related and had all the same tracks and music.

I think High Stakes was what Hot Pursuit wanted to be but with more time development and less of a fictional take on the overall design of the game. High Stakes was like a more serious version of Hot Pursuit without the jumpy and fictional aesthetic to it.

I literally perfected every single turn on every single map! This game was so instrumental in shaping my young brain! Taught me how to grind! And really forced my brain to rearrange 5,000 pieces for just 1-extra tenth on the clock. This is the #1 greatest video game of all time. Gran Turismo 2 was a perfect sequel, but Gran Turismo 3 and beyond is where they started messing up. Gran Turismo 1 was the BEST because they forced you to learn how to drive, by passing 8-license test, and that was really the beginning of the obsession with grinding for greatness. Wish theyd re-do the entire game, exactyl as-is, for modern graphics. I wouldnt play it at my age, but these young kids could use a game like that, which requires an insaine amount of commitment to achieve true mastery. I made it as an Olympian 110mh, in real-life, and still hold my D1 University Record, but I was 100x better at Gran Turismo than ill ever be at anything in real life. It was beyond amazing, the level of perfection I acheived in this game. This game will forever have a special place in my heart! Thank you Gran Turismo, and thank you to Wegmans Grocery store, which was renting this amazing game out, back in the late 1990s!
